Standing on the observation deck on the second floor of the assembly workshop, watching another batch of coffee packaging machines with Spanish labels being loaded and shipped, the shipping order in my hand is a whole stack thicker than this time last year. This reminds me of three years ago, when the factory director took a photo of the newly developed prototype at the mobilization meeting and said: "Our machines will sooner or later make the coffee aroma of the world have the taste of Chinese technology."
Since the beginning of this spring, overseas orders have sprung up like mushrooms after rain. Last month alone, coffee packaging machines shipped to Central and South America filled three standard containers. What makes us most proud is that Mr. Julio, the owner of a boutique coffee farm in Peru, flew over to inspect the goods. He pointed to our dual-channel intelligent packaging line and exclaimed: "This machine can handle both 250-gram hand-brewed bean bags and 5-kilogram commercial packaging. It is simply the savior of our small farm."
The secret to breaking through the overseas market must start with our "coffee-exclusive" design. Last year, the R&D team stayed in Yunnan Coffee Factory for three months and found that traditional packaging machines were always lacking in moisture-proof treatment of coffee beans. The new models now shipped are equipped with a nitrogen replacement system as standard, and the nitrogen filling accuracy can be controlled at ±0.3% - this data may sound boring, but in terms of the actual experience of customers, it is what a Colombian brand director said: "The aroma of coffee beans that have been opened for three months can still be locked in 90%."
Intelligent upgrades are the key to making foreigners give a thumbs up. Now each coffee packaging machine has a built-in adaptive weighing module, which can still accurately control the weight of each bag when encountering sun-dried beans with uneven particles like those in Ethiopia. In the video sent to us by an Indonesian customer, workers are using a mobile phone APP to adjust the heat sealing parameters, and the high humidity in the tropical rainy season will no longer cause the seal of the packaging bag to crack.
Colleagues in the overseas business department have been very busy recently, and the market intelligence they brought back is very interesting. For example, Middle Eastern customers particularly love our gold touch screen design, saying that it is more durable than traditional buttons in a dusty environment; European customers are full of praise for the detachable conveyor belt, saying that after the cleaning efficiency is improved, their organic certification annual review pass rate has increased.
Looking at the coffee packaging machine being assembled in the workshop, I suddenly found that the export models have added a lot of "little ideas" in the past two years. In order to adapt to voltage fluctuations in different regions, we put "anti-surge armor" on the circuit board; considering the salt spray erosion during sea transportation, all sheet metal parts are upgraded to galvanized materials. These efforts hidden in the details may be the confidence of Vietnamese customers who say "better understanding of Southeast Asia than German equipment".
A few days ago, I attended an industry exhibition and heard two foreign buyers muttering in front of our booth: "Chinese coffee packaging machines can actually be customized with embossed hot stamping technology?" This reminded me of the embossed heat sealing module developed for Italian customers - at that time, the engineers stayed up for seven consecutive nights and tried to combine artistic design with industrial precision.
When I passed the test workshop after get off work, the new quality inspector was doing the final debugging of the coffee packaging machine sent to Ethiopia. Listening to the regular heat sealing sound, I suddenly realized that what was beating in these steel bodies was not only gears and circuits, but also the pulse of Chinese manufacturing going global.
