Ply-Pack is combining edge computing with AI inference chips to develop the next generation of autonomous decision-making systems. The packaging machine in the experiment can autonomously select the optimal production strategy based on multi-dimensional data such as the remaining amount of film rolls, order urgency, and energy consumption costs. For example, when a batch of packaging film is detected to have a slight uneven thickness, the equipment can automatically reduce the running speed and simultaneously notify the quality inspection department, rather than simply stopping and waiting for instructions-this marks that the intelligent packaging production line has entered a new stage of "human-like decision-making".
